Shiprock, NM – Today, New Mexicans for Michelle announced the endorsement of 11 Navajo Nation chapters and 50 Diné leaders for Michelle Lujan Grisham in her run for governor. The announcement signals strong support for Michelle Lujan Grisham from tribal communities and follows the endorsement of nine tribes and pueblos. She remains the only gubernatorial candidate to have earned an endorsement from a tribe, pueblo, or Navajo Nation chapter.

This is after court documents revealed that Steve Peare has worked closely with Ford in lobbying for the commutation of felon Jamie Estrada’s sentence in what was perhaps the biggest cyber-theft case to hit New Mexico.

Grants, NM - This afternoon, the chief law enforcement official for Cibola, Sandoval and Valencia Counties, and the chief law enforcement official for Los Alamos, Rio Arriba and Sante Fe Counties called for an investigation by the U.S. House Committee on Ethics into Steve Pearce’s assets and holdings after the Associated Press busted him for trying to hide the fact that his multi-million profits are actually coming from the oil and gas industry, not from renting out tables and chairs for parties. Thirteenth Judicial District Attorney Lemuel Martinez and First Judicial District Attorney Marco Serna are joining the chief law enforcement official of Doña Ana County, Third Judicial District Attorney Mark D’Antonio, in calling for the investigation.

Michelle Lujan Grisham was endorsed by Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund. Everytown is the nation’s largest gun violence protection organization. Michelle announced her Action Plan to Combat New Mexico Gun Violence in March, and has also been endorsed by former representative Gabby Giffords and Captain Mark Kelly.
