Santa Fe, NM - This morning, Michelle Lujan Grisham and Howie Morales released a new ad called Two Paths. The ad follows Joshua, a young boy in northern New Mexico, throughout his path to adulthood and highlights our responsibility to ensure every New Mexican has the opportunity to succeed by creating better schools, a stronger economy, and making the necessary investments in infrastructure.

Michelle and Howie are committed to responsibly using the nearly $20 billion Land Grant Permanent Fund to invest in education and the $5 billion Severance Tax Permanent Fund to invest in infrastructure and small business growth.

“It was important for me to tell a story like Joshua’s because we are at a critical juncture. We can choose to continue with the same failed economic and education policies of the last eight years, or chart a new path forward investing in our public schools, apprenticeships, failing infrastructure and small businesses,” said Michelle Lujan Grisham. “As governor, I’ll work to make sure New Mexico will no longer be at the bottom of all the wrong lists, and we will unleash our incredible potential by investing in our children, families, and small businesses to get on the top of all the right lists.”

“As an educator, I know first hand the two paths our children are facing, and we cannot let them go down the road of the failed public education policies of the last eight years,” said Howie Morales. “Michelle and I are committed to using our permanent funds responsibly to expand pre-k to all New Mexico children, and give our educators a much-deserved raise.”
